Conference papers
===============

Many thanks to all of you who have already send in your papers. They look great! Bravo!

But, we are eager to see ALL the other papers still being worked on, checked over, shared with friends and colleagues.

Send your paper to: James Clayson by the 28th of February. That's in ONE WEEK!

Remember, though, to look at the website and read the instructions to authors and then download the style template. http://www.aup.edu/news/special_events/constructionism2010.htm

If you have any questions on topics, length, style or have problems transmitting your material to us, please write me: James Clayson .

My Conference Co-chair, Ivan Kalas, is organizing the peer review process and the date for the notification of paper acceptance remains the 15th of April.

Conference workshops
==================

We already have a wonderful list of workshop ideas that cover all the themes and disciplines of the conference. As at EuroLogo2007, we had planned to schedule the workshops for the last morning of the conference. Because of the great number of suggestions we may want to extend the workshop day to all of Friday the 20th of August. So don't plan to leave the conference early!

If you have not yet suggested a workshop and would like to, please do so NOW. The deadline is the 31st of March but sooner is better so that we can try to effectively schedule workshop events so that everyone can attend what strike their fancy. Remember, the workshops are included in the conference fee!

Conference posters

Send you poster ideas, along with a short abstract (less than 1 page) to James Clayson . Selected poster abstracts will appear in the proceedings.

Finally, I want to thank all of you who have written me with suggestions and critiques over the last year. You have been so helpful.

Dear All,

We need you all to participate in Constructionism 2010, August 16-20 In Paris. This is going to be the "Constructionist Event of the Age".

Please take a look at the newest version of the Constructionism 2010 website.
This version is labelled Announcement 6.

You will note the on-line registration and payment facility as well as information about the method for electronically submitting papers and workshop abstracts to us for peer reviewing. See also the method for sending in poster ideas and panel suggestions.

Recall:

• the deadline for paper submission is 28 February 2010
• the deadline for workshop submission is 31 March 2010

Recall, too, that students who intend to present a poster (or paper!) can apply for an inexpensive dormitory room in the conference facility, FIAP. However, I must have this information by the end of February in order to hold these rooms. So, if you know of any students who fall into this category, please remind them to contact me: James Clayson asap.

Finally, since the deadline for paper submission is fast approaching, please let me know anyone else you can think of who should be invited to Constructionism 2010 and encouraged to give a paper and/or workshop!

This is going to be a wonderful event and we want a maximum turnout! Please get that paper in shape and structure your workshop ideas

Θέμα:Only 11 months until Constructionism 2010!

Dear All,

There are only 11 months before we ALL gather together inParis for Constructionism 2010!

BUT, there is less time to prepare and submit your ownpapers (due by the end of February 2010). The tradition of the EuroLogoconferences, of which Constructionism 2010 is the latest version, has been torequire the submission of your paper before the conference so that these can besent out to reviewers. This peer review process assures us that your papers fitwell into the theme of the conference, that we can offer you constructive helpif needed, and that the organizing committee can effectively schedule papersand events during the week of the conference.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, this allows us toproduce a complete conference proceedings for you on your arrival in Paris.This year we have a publisher interested in producing an edited version of theconference events, papers, and discussions so your participation is especiallyimportant. So, please get started! If you need feedback on your ideas beforeyou set out to write the whole paper, send me your abstract and I, or anothermember of the committee, will comment asap!

Papers should be between 6-10 pages and presentation timesat the conference will be between 20-30 minutes. See the website for somesuggestions to presenters.http://www.aup.edu/news/special_events/constructionism2010.htm

Workshops and posters are needed, too. Remember thatgraduate students and teachers who wish to give a poster can apply through mefor inexpensive accommodations at the conference center, FIAP. If you areinterested contact me at "James Clayson".

We already have a list of wonderful presentations and eventsplanned. Music, dance, art, as well as the traditional EuroLogo fare. All inthe constructionist mode! All in extraordinary Paris!

One last point: payment for the conference will be donethrough the conference website. But, like so many projects, this one has takenlonger than I thought. Too, I am still trying to line up more sponsors in orderto keep the registration cost as low as possible. I hope to have the paymentsite functioning by the end of October.
